When Ori, a medical technology company, set out to launch a website for its new 3D dental scanner product, the challenge was clear: how do you communicate the precision and innovation of a physical device in a way that feels equally innovative online?

The company was looking to bring their new Ori Intraoral Scanner device to the market. A 3D dental scanning device designed to help dentists capture highly accurate, real-time digital models of patients’ teeth.

Looking to push beyond static images and videos to demonstrate this product’s technical advancement to their customers, they sought out KOJI Agency as the creative team for the product launch.

The KOJI team then decided to leverage the Spline integration within Webflow to craft an interactive 3D digital experience that made the scanner feel as tangible on the web as it does in a dentist’s hand.

A full-stack design team embracing new tools

The KOJI Agency team behind Ori Scan’s web presence included Pavel, Slava, Nikita, and Liza each of whom are seasoned designers with many client projects under their belt.

With more than 20 years in branding, identity, and digital experiences, they’ve built everything from modular advertising systems to immersive narrative sites.

Their strength lies in being "full-stack designers" — blending product thinking, visual design, interaction, and code.

"We’re always researching, always trying to find new tools. That’s how we landed on Spline."

Leveraging Spline to unlock interactivity

Ori Scan’s leadership didn’t just want another medical product website. They wanted an experience that would stand out to their audience of dentists and healthcare professionals.

The KOJI team saw interactive 3D as the best medium to highlight the scanner’s innovation, and the choice of Spline was equally intentional.

The team knew they needed the flexibility to iterate quickly, optimize performance, and present the scanner’s product designs interactively across devices.

"Spline was everywhere in the design community. This project was the perfect opportunity to finally use it and the seamless integration with Webflow made the decision even easier."

The design process: From CAD and polygon optimization to a polished web experience

The process began with Ori Scan’s technical CAD files, which the agency refined and optimized before bringing them into Spline.

The workflow was iterative — balancing polygon count, materials, and lighting to ensure a balance between a visually appealing result and smooth performance on the web.

Spline brought the technical and creative sides of the process together. Its performance tools gave the team clear insights into model optimization, ensuring a smooth integration across devices. The event system made it simple to set up interactive motion, while versatile material and lighting tools helped refine the product’s look so it felt polished and realistic on the web.

3D models and final mobile implementation

One of the standout details? The teeth 3D model. To show the scanner in action, the team modeled natural-looking teeth in Spline which created an essential touch that made the demo feel authentic.

This attention to detail elevated the demo beyond a technical showcase. By combining realism with interactivity, the team created a product story that felt authentic, engaging, and directly connected to how dentists would actually use the scanner.

"It was fun but also critical. Since the scanner’s purpose is to scan teeth, the 3D model had to look and feel natural."

Integrating with Webflow

The KOJI team leaned on Spline to bring the Ori Scan product to life and on Spline's native Webflow integration to implement the 3D assets into the website seamlessly.

This made it possible to pair scroll-based animations with interactive 3D allowing visitors to rotate and explore the scanner as they moved through the page.

"It’s very simple and fast. The learning curve is low, even junior designers can step in and integrate 3D into Webflow."

Why interactivity matters

For Ori Scan, an interactive 3D product showcase wasn’t just about aesthetics. It was about clarity and impact. By letting customers scroll through the product, rotate it, and explore its features in context, they created an experience that went far beyond what static photography or video could achieve.

"Interactivity changes everything. It makes the product feel real. And more importantly, it helps the client tell their story in a way that feels innovative."

Get started with Spline

The KOJI team continues to experiment with Spline. For them, this project marked the start of a new chapter where 3D and interactive design aren’t just “nice to have” but essential in telling product stories.

It’s a visually stunning example of how interactivity can turn digital product design into an experience that feels real.
